Chestnut Grove Care Home Refurbishment, Belfast
Refurbishment of the 2-storey ‘step-down’ care facility which provides health and social care for up to 44 residents.
Refurbishment works were undertaken in the Eastern Wing of both the ground and first floor and required reconfiguration of the existing layout to reduce the number of bedrooms in order to add new ensuite facilities.
Killowen Contracts scope of work included demolitions to modify window and door openings plus the addition of new stud partitioning; associated M&E upgrades including the reconfiguration of two storerooms adjacent to the existing plant spaces on the ground floor; replacement of 2000L Cold Water Storage Tank in the roof space and removal of existing; plus alterations to existing foul drainage and creation of new drainage.
This project required precision planning and coordination to minimise disruption while delivering lasting improvements to this essential health and social care facility.
