Killowen Contracts is proud to announce our appointment as main contractor for the new Staycity Aparthotel development in Belfast city centre, with works now officially underway on site.
We are delighted to be working alongside Lotus Property, one of Northern Ireland’s leading developers, and Staycity Group, the Irish hotel group continuing its expansion across key European cities.
The project will see the transformation of Beaufort House, a nine-storey, 46,000 sqft office building on Wellington Place, formerly home to HMRC offices, into Staycity’s first aparthotel in Northern Ireland.
Once complete, the development will deliver a 98-room aparthotel comprising a mix of studio and one-bedroom apartments, designed to offer guests the flexibility and comfort of apartment living with hotel-quality services.
The scheme will also include a range of high-quality amenities for both business and leisure travellers, including reception and guest lounge, bar and restaurant, gym facilities and retail/shop space.
Each apartment will feature fully fitted kitchens along with dedicated areas to dine, work and relax, providing a modern and convenient stay for visitors to Belfast.
Brian McGivern, Managing Director at Killowen Contracts, said:
“We are thrilled to be appointed as main contractor for Staycity’s first aparthotel in Northern Ireland. Securing the project is a major milestone for Killowen Contracts and a fantastic addition to our portfolio. This project showcases our expertise in delivering complex, transformative schemes and reinforces our commitment to creating landmark buildings that benefit both our clients and the wider community. Our team is looking forward to delivering a development that sets a new standard for hospitality in Belfast.”
We are excited to deliver this significant city-centre regeneration project, which will further strengthen Belfast’s hospitality offering and contribute to the continued growth of tourism and business travel in the city.
Project completion is expected in Summer 2027.
